The Miracle Was Not What I Expected

For months, I prayed for a miracle.

I imagined dramatic intervention. Instant healing. A sudden end to the struggle.

When the miracle did not arrive in the form I expected, disappointment followed.

Had God forgotten me? Had my faith been insufficient? Was I doing something wrong?

Then I began noticing smaller miracles.

The right doctor. The timely diagnosis. The financial provision. The supportive friend. The successful procedure. The strength to keep going.

I realized something profound.

The miracle had been happening all along. Just not in the way I imagined.

Sometimes miracles arrive as supernatural interventions.

Sometimes they arrive disguised as wisdom, provision, people, and perseverance.

Either way, they remain evidence of God's hand.

Looking back, I am grateful not only for the outcomes I prayed for.

But also for the unexpected ways God answered prayers I didn't know how to pray.

The miracle was real. It was simply different from what I expected.
